Coldest Session
This past weekend I went out with this cute couple and photographed their engagement photos. They’d been wanting to do a snow theme. You would think that’s an easy theme since we live in Wisconsin. Wrong – this winter had been pretty mild without much snow until very recently!! We canceled a few appointments last month due to the lack of snow. Knowing we were going to get some during the weekend, we went for it even though it was so darn cold!! My iPhone just went out because of the low temperature. Thankfully, my camera didn’t die on me! And kudos to this couple, they did an awesome job!

Little Pro Model!
Last week I did a photo session for my boss’s little boy who would turn 1 in a few weeks. He was one of the easiest models to work with. It took less than 10 minutes to shoot over 60 raw photos where he was all smiling and posing like a pro!
The Teal Pumpkin Project
Halloween is around the corner! Last year Kayla was a purple butterfly fairy. She had a lot of fun trick-or-treating in the neighborhood even though we took away all of her candies – she has peanut allergy and couldn’t eat most of the candies. This year we may not be as lucky since she’s a bit older now and starts to have opinion as well. Yesterday my co-worker told me about this teal pumpkin project to raise awareness for kids with food allergies. I am totally into this great idea and I think I am going to challenge my neighbors to do the same.
UW Arboretum Madison
Had to come into the office last Sunday to check on a few things. Decided to bring my daughter along. We finished early and since my office is right next to the UW Arboretum, we decided to go in there to see if we could snap a few good pictures. Sure enough. The fall colors were breathtaking. Even my two-year old stopped watching her DVD in the car and started looking outside of the window. She even said “Look, mama. So pretty!” And you know what, kids don’t lie! 🙂
Holy Hill
Took these photos from Holy Hill Church area today. First picture was a bit blur but I was actually driving. I know. That’s not a good driving habit to get into but the view was too beautiful to resist.
